Training and Dissertation Programmes
The Institute for Seri-Biotechnological Research (CSB-ISBR), Kodathi, regularly organizes training programmes in various areas of seri-biotechnology, molecular biology, biotechnology, genomics, bioinformatics, and other advanced research techniques. These programmes are designed to strengthen the conceptual understanding, practical skills, and research capabilities of scientists, research scholars, postgraduate students, and other professionals working in the fields of sericulture and biotechnology.
The Institute also provides dissertation and research training opportunities to postgraduate students, research scholars, and other eligible candidates in areas including seri-biotechnology, molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and allied disciplines. Students may undertake dissertation or research training at the Institute for a period ranging from six months to one year, subject to the availability of research facilities, laboratory capacity, and approval by the Institute.
Students and research scholars undertaking training at the Institute are provided exposure to relevant laboratory techniques, molecular and genomic methodologies, experimental design, research methodology, bioinformatics and data analysis, and other specialized techniques, depending on the nature of their research and the facilities available at the Institute.
The training fee for a six-month dissertation programme is ₹7,500. Candidates interested in undertaking training or dissertation work for a longer duration, up to one year, may contact the Institute for information regarding programme availability, eligibility, admission procedures, and applicable charges.
Ph.D. Programme
The Institute offers opportunities for Ph.D. research in relevant areas of seri-biotechnology and allied biological sciences. The doctoral research programme provides scholars with access to specialized laboratory facilities, research expertise, advanced experimental techniques, and multidisciplinary research environments relevant to sericulture and biotechnology.
Academic Collaboration
CSB-ISBR has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, to facilitate academic and research collaboration, including opportunities for doctoral research, subject to the applicable academic regulations and institutional procedures.
